I booked two single rooms at the Albergo Abuzzi,we were told one would be in the main hotel and one in the annex. When we arrived I got a room in the main hotel the lift was out of order for two days I had 3 flights of stairs and I have Asthma all of the electrics went off and and even the emergency saftey lights did not work on the stairs. My friends room was in the so called Annex which is not an Annex at all it is the Multi occupancy building next door, the extra rooms are in somesones flat non of the rooms have a number on them and the one my friend was in looked out onto a brick wall. When the electrics went off again there were no safety lights and my friend had to use the torch on her mobile phone to walk up and down the stairs. The Albergo Abruzzi is a dangerous RIp OFF of a Hotel,it is a Joke and I really do not know how they are getting away with this Rip Off we paid 674 Euro for two nights which is a lot of money. I would not send my worst enemy to The Albergo Abruzzi Hotel. I travel all the time on business and use Booking .com about 30 times a year but will think twice before using them again as this was the worst place I have ever stayed and when you tried to talk to the staff they just did not want to know my friend speaks Italian and even when she told them about all the problems they just could not care less. The only thing good about the hotel was the location I really think that Booked.net should not work with this hotel in the future because it is dangerous. Maria B McDonnell

    Exceptional

We booked a room with a view of the Pantheon. Normally I dont care about a view as are you in your room alot? Nope........But I thought why not- and it is gorgeous to wake up look out the window and see that. Its noisy but you shut the windows and theres no noise plus you know that going there that it is a busy area.Lovely spacious room, nice and helpful staff, reasonables prices considering the location. Strangely enough not over run either with tourists. Close to Cat sanctuary and supermarket. Gorgeous salumeria selling delicious panini and torta in the square. We will definetly stay here again.

    Nothing. All fantastic.

    Exceptional

I absolutely loved this boutique hotel with a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are fantastic and the location opposite the Pantheon could not be beaten. Also a fantastic breakfast buffet on Pantheon Square. My room had a queen bed, a wardrobe, a desk and chair, a nice flat screen satellite tv, a minibar. The bathroom was large and lovely, white marble!

The reception was small, but nice

    Fabulous

Its central location, vibrant locality, view of the Pantheon.

Not a complaint as such but the hotel is only 3 star, though perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. A little cramped in the room.

    Exceptional

We spent five nights there and LOVED the location. Our view of the Pantheon and the Piazza was great and it was so interesting to see daily lives begin early in the morning as people went to work....and then the lively music and people having fun in the Piazza in the evening. It was nice to go across the Piazza to the cafe for breakfast. The hotel is very clean and comfortable.

The rooms were small but the view made up for it....the bathroom however is very small.

    Very good

    Location Clean and modern room

Stayed in an annex. The room was very clean and modern but the entrance to the annex was not up to scratch for a hotel. Room needs more shelf space or case stands

    Good

Breakfast. The near bar where breakfast was served had a very unfriendly service, even if buffet very small choices, "cornetti" uneatable. They did not serve us cappuccino or decent coffee...we need it to get coffee from some kind of a thermos...we decided not to take breakfast anymore even if it was included in the paid hotel fee. They should have stayed with the previous provider.

    Superb

I enjoyed the whole experience, nothing to be picky about.

I guess a bit more dusting and cleaning could help my liking the place, but i definitely will not stop me to stay again

    Exceptional

We were greeted by very friendly staff who explained briefly what we needed to know at that time - most welcome after a long trip-but this was later followed up with more detail when we were relaxed and settled in. Room was comfortable, clean, wonderful view, all necessary facilities, easy to get to. Lovely breakfast in local restaurant was not a problem, again staff very friendly. Excellent value.

    Having to come home.

    Fabulous

The location of this hotel is above all worth the stay. The staff was friendly and I found the room (although small) was sufficient for the purpose of my trip-(to see Rome). The windows were great and the noise from the piazza below was minimal. The bathrooms were also a nice size for a european facility. I had a "pantheon view" room and I would certainly do it again!

It is small... So the noise in the hallways is sometimes loud as people seem to forget they arent in their own homes and carry-on a conversation not considering they are disturbing others. This is not the hotels fault of course, just something I didnt like. I am not a fan of the "electricity" being controlled by a key fob you have to remove when leaving the room. I travel with many things that need charging and I like to go in and out of my room during the day as I leave things to charge. I understand the economics of it- just didnt like it.

The location was excellent!!The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic! The rooms was very good, clean, beautifully decorated.Luckily not too much noise from the Pantheon square, because we were on 4th floor.
